"I believe that real change is possible when individuals are given an empathetic and unconditionally accepting environment."

Hi, my name is Erin Lehnherr. Thank you for taking the time to visit the Country Crossroads Counseling website and reading my profile. All of our counselors have different approaches and strengths and I hope our descriptions lead you to the right fit for you!

I’m a PLPC who has been counseling at Country Crossroads since 2020. I hold a M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. My theoretical orientation is an integration of Person Centered Therapy with techniques primarily from CBT, using aspects of dialectical behavior therapy such as mindfulness and interpersonal effectiveness. My primary goal is to help you reach your therapy goals, asking you to partner with me in your growth. I believe that real change is possible when individuals are given an empathetic and unconditionally accepting environment, coupled with the right tools for your situation.

Since 2016, I’ve volunteered with a mental health non-profit organization. During this time, my focus has been on providing support and community for individuals with mental health needs, connecting people with the resources they need, and collaborating with agencies across the greater Kansas City area to increase our organization’s effectiveness.

I enjoy traveling, creating music, and hiking. My proudest extra-curricular achievement was climbing Mount Kiimanjaro. I’m a passionate person, and look forward to using that passion in my work with you. Contact Country Crossroads Counseling and set up an appointment to move your life towards your goals!
