Country Crossroads Counseling
A little bit about Erin Lehnherr . . .
I believe that real change is possible when individuals are given an empathetic and unconditionally accepting environment.
Hi, my name is Erin Lehnherr. Thank you for taking the time to visit the Country Crossroads Counseling website and reading my profile. All of our counselors have different approaches and strengths and I hope our descriptions lead you to the right fit for you!
I am a graduate student at Walden University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I’m completing my practicum and internship with Country Crossroads Counseling with great support from our other counselors. My theoretical orientation is cognitive behavioral therapy combined with aspects of dialectical behavior therapy, including mindfulness and interpersonal effectiveness. My primary goal is to help you reach your therapy goals, allowing you to partner with me in your growth. I believe that real change is possible when individuals are given an empathetic and unconditionally accepting environment, coupled with the right tools for your situation.
Since 2016, I’ve volunteered with a mental health non-profit organization. During this time, my focus has been on providing support and community for individuals with mental health needs, connecting people with the resources they need, and collaborating with agencies across the greater Kansas City area to increase our organization’s effectiveness.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family, including three enthusiastic dogs. I enjoy traveling, creating music, and hiking. My proudest extra-curricular achievement was climbing Mount Kiimanjaro. I’m a passionate person, and look forward to using that passion in my work with you.
