Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.

— Albus Dumbledore

Hi, my name is Katie Nash. Thank you for taking the time to visit the Country Crossroads Counseling website; I’m glad you are here!

I graduated from Northwest Missouri State University and earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Child and Family Studies. In 2019, I went on to receive my
Masters in Advanced Clinical Social Work and earned my degree and license.

Throughout my licensure process and previous employment, I have worked with individuals 18+ with chronic mental illness in a hospital setting in an inpatient behavioral health unit. I have worked with women, children, and men who are survivors of domestic violence along with other trauma. I have also worked with children in a school setting in the grades Pre-K through 5th grade.

I believe each individual has a voice that deserves to be heard, and that you are the expert to your own life. I value collaborative work with my clients in order to create goals and improve quality of life through therapy. I work from a strengths-based perspective and will provide a non-judgmental and safe space for therapy. My theory approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy will allow and help an individual to understand their own thoughts and how those thought affect their actions. CBT allows an individual to unlearn negative thoughts and behaviors
and allow them to adopt healthier thinking patterns and habits. I practice primarily as generalist, with clients of all ages and backgrounds.

In my personal life, I am a wife and a mother. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. When I’m not working I love traveling, seeing new places and trying new things, and experiencing new cultures. I also am a licensed skydiver, so I enjoy jumping in new places when I have the opportunity!
