A little bit about Katie Becker, EdS LPC . . .

Katie is dedicated to helping you reach your goals.

Hi, my name is Katie Becker. I appreciate you taking a few minutes to visit the Country Crossroads Counseling website and hope that you contact us for any therapeutic needs you may have. I grew up in rural Missouri, enjoying life on a farm. I now live on a lake with my husband and 3 children and enjoy the tranquility that the lake offers.

I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and Child Development from the University of Central Missouri in 2007. I worked in the community realm of social services with families and children before earning my Masters Degree in Counseling from the University of Central Missouri in 2012. I was employed as a school counselor for 11 years and have now transitioned to full time private practice. I obtained my LPC in 2019 and have been with Country Crossroads since 2017. I am dedicated to helping children, teens, and adults develop healthy lifestyles.

Sometimes just having someone to listen to the daily stresses of life in a non-judgmental and caring way can help you feel better. On other occasions, therapeutic interventions are needed to build skills in order to cope with different issues. My approach is Solution Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. In Solution Focused Therapy conversation is directed toward developing and achieving the client’s vision of solutions, rather than problems. This theory encourages individuals to imagine the future they desire and then work together to develop a series of steps that will help them achieve those goals.

In my personal life, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My husband Adam and I love spending time at the lake with our family and keeping an active lifestyle.
