A little bit about Lauren . . .
Lauren Chamberlain
My name is Lauren Chamberlain, I am so happy to see you stopping by and visiting us at Country Crossroads Counseling!
I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in 2017 from the University of Central Missouri with a degree in Child and Family Development. In 2020, I also graduated from the University of Central Missouri with my Master’s degree in Human Development and Family Science with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. Currently, I am a Supervised Marriage and Family Therapist, working towards getting my full licensure in Marriage and Family Therapy. Additionally, I am currently a Missouri Recovery Support Specialist as well.
I have a variety of different experiences working with adolescents, adults, couples and families. Specifically, I have had experience working with individuals, couples and families with substance use disorders and recovery. I also have had experience working with individuals and couples who have struggled with low self-esteem, self-worth, troubles with communication, extramarital affairs and or crisis intervention.
When working with each client, I use a client centered and client-strength based approach, by incorporating techniques from Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavior Therapy. When working with couples, I will also incorporate techniques from Emotionally Focused Therapy and Gottman Therapy as well.
As I work with each client, I believe that each person has their own story and experience to tell, and that each person should be able to share their story and experience once they are in a safe and supportive environment.
Thank you for showing interest in our services. If you have any questions, or if you would like to get things started, I would love to spend a few minutes talking with you. Feel free to reach out to me at any time. I hope to hear from you soon!
