"I have a passion for helping people navigate through developmental milestones and assisting with their personal growth and goals."

Hi, my name is MacKenzie Murphree and I appreciate you taking the time to learn some things about me and hope you are able to find a good fit here at Country Crossroads Counseling.

I am currently a graduate level intern pursuing my Masters in Community Counseling at Missouri Valley College and working towards obtaining my LPC.

I mostly work with children and teenagers and have a passion for helping them navigate through developmental milestones and assisting with their personal growth and goals. My therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with a strong focus on Person-Centered and Solution-Focused Therapy.

I aim to educate on how to put an emphasis on the solution and not the problem itself while helping to create and maintain attainable goals, develop a sense of confidence, promote positive self-talk, and regulate emotions.

In my personal life, I juggle my time as a student, campus employee, and intern here at Country Crossroads. I spend my free time with friends and family, do a lot of leisure reading, catch up on some of my favorite shows, and cuddle with my sweet cat, Yuki.
