Amber May Webb

I understand that each person has a unique narrative that needs to be heard in a compassionate and non-judgmental environment.

Originally from the vibrant hills of Eastern Kentucky, I have found my forever home in the diverse landscapes of Missouri. As an MSW intern at Country Crossroads Counseling and a dedicated student at the University of Kentucky, I am passionately pursuing a Master's degree in Social Work. My passion for this field stems from my unwavering commitment to fostering growth and resilience in individuals regardless of their background.

At the heart of my counseling approach is the belief in the power of storytelling. I understand that each person has a unique narrative that needs to be heard in a compassionate and non-judgmental environment. My goal is to provide a safe space where clients can express themselves freely, learn strategies to manage daily stresses and find ways to overcome the challenges that prevent them from achieving the lifestyle they seek.

My choice of therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which I complement with a strengths-based method. I am also a strong proponent of Person-Centered Therapy and Humanistic Theories, which emphasize the importance of being present in the moment and striving toward realizing one's full potential.

In my personal life, I continue to embark on my journey of healing and growth. I live on a small hobby farm with my significant other, our two beloved dogs, and a lively flock of 26 chickens. This connection to nature and animals profoundly influences my professional interests, particularly my enthusiasm for integrating animal-assisted therapy techniques into my practice.

Specializing in working with clients grappling with ADHD, I aim to create an empathetic and supportive environment where clients feel understood and empowered in their journey toward self-discovery and personal empowerment.
As I progress in my role at Country Crossroads Counseling, I am excited to merge my professional expertise with my personal experiences and passions, enhancing the therapeutic experiences of my clients.
