A little bit about Rachel Dinges . . .

Rachel Dinges

"I provide a very open, creative, inviting space where children are empowered to rise-and-shine to their highest potential."

Welcome to Country Crossroads Counseling. Thank you for visiting our website. By coming here, you have taken the first step in seeking support for you and your family. I am here for you.

My name is Rachel Dinges and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, certified trauma specialist and certified play therapist. I graduated from Columbia College in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. I became a certified play therapist in 2018 and received my clinical mental health counseling master’s degree from Webster University in 2019.

Play therapy is to children what counseling is to adults. Play is a natural medium of expression for them. Toys are their words and play is their language. It is a process where children organize their experiences in the world around them and gain a sense of control. Through play therapy, children can heal from distressing events.

I provide a very open, creative, inviting space where children are empowered to “rise and shine” to their highest potential. I use art, play, movement, and humor to meet every child where they are at. In the

playroom, I implement Child Centered Play therapy, TF-CBT, Mindfulness, Sand Tray Therapy and Attachment-Focused Activities including support for the whole family.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my four grandchildren. On the weekend, you can usually find me riding on the motorcycle with my husband (unless it is too cold!) I would love to help your child find their voice. If you are interested, do not hesitate to contact me.
