A little bit about Suzie Seitz, LPC, MA. . .

Suzie will assist you in making positive changes in your life!

Hi, my name is Suzie Seitz, I truly appreciate you taking a few minutes to visit the Country Crossroads Counseling website and hope that you contact us for any therapeutic needs you may have. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me. I love the peace and tranquility that I find in the country. I am a country girl at heart, raised in rural Lafayette County, Missouri. I have always found peace in nature and find the woods or an open field the best place to clear your mind and evaluate your life and goals.

I graduated from Central Missouri State University in 2004 with a Double Major in Criminal Justice and Psychology. I played collegiate softball and soccer and truly love sports and maintaining an active lifestyle. I completed my Masters in Counseling and Guidance from the University of Missouri – Kansas City in 2011. Even prior to the completion of my Master’s degree, I was working in the mental health field providing in-home therapeutic and case-management services to children and families. I have obtained my LPC. I have actively worked in the Mental Health field for several years; working with families, children, adults, couples, and individuals. I often find myself drawn to working in rural communities, finding it easy to relate to the complexities and challenges that are unique to living in the country. I am dedicated to helping people develop positive and healthy lives and truly love the work that I do.

My theoretical approach is primarily Solution Focused and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I want to help people identify the challenges that are holding them back and find solutions to dealing with those challenges. To me, life is about moving forward and finding the stride you need to obtain your goals and find happiness in your everyday life. I am focused on whole person wellness and helping people create consistency and stability. This includes a personalized approach that addresses the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual dimensions of life; focusing on the person as a whole. I am committed to helping persons who are experiencing emotional, personal, family, or psychological problems or people who just simply need a place to evaluate their life and get guidance on how to get on their chosen path.

In my personal life, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love to go to the lake, swim, hike, read, kayak, run, and travel. Maintaining an active life-style is important to me and you can often find me and my family playing in the yard or hiking through the woods. I have lived in rural Missouri my entire life and find it to be a wonderful place to live.
